This formula truly made a huge difference. My baby tried about 2 formulas before the Alimentum. He was colicky and fuzzy. We tried the advance the first days at the hospital and everything was ok until we got home and the baby cried non stop and we found out he had terrible colics, Then we changed him to the pro sensitive but, he was still having colics and used to cry after feedings. We spoke to his doctor and he made the decision of changing to Alimentum and it was the best decision ever. The only bad thing is that the 2oz bottle is not longer available in the Target or Walmart in South Florida. I have to buy them online and I am just concerned of the formula quality after being expose to the South Florida heat. Other than that I have no complaints and THIS FORMULA IS JUST THE BEST !!

They added a bunch of stuff to this formula and now the baby doesn’t tolerate it. So disappointing. Ali RTF was a live saver for so many…too bad

We had bought our monthly supply of formula at Walmart about 3 weeks ago. I had noticed the packaging was different and read the ingredients list and saw the added ingredients. This instantly made me uneasy. Why change a hypoallergenic babies diet? Their tummies are SO sensitive. I opened the can and started feeding it to my son (who was doing amazing, as he has been the past 2 months since the formula switch) he started to get so incredibly gassy by the next day, and was very fussy- honestly colic my little guy would not stop screaming. I finished the can, but instead of opening another can of the new formulation I gave him a old can I had, within a day he was fine again. However it was the last old can I had so I was forced to start up the new cans. Just like the first time, he got incredibly gassy, colic, and very very uneasy. This is definitely a shame. Alimentum has been the only formula to help but of course, we can’t let a good thing stay good and we have to go changing it and adding prebiotics that honestly most hypoallergenic babies don’t take to. Looks like we’re giving nutramigen a try since they don’t use prebiotics.

Similac Alimentum RTF has been life changing for my son. He used to scream non-stop but he’s been an entirely different child since we started this! 100000% recommend!

My baby has cow milk protein sensitivity, so our doctor recommended Similac Alimentum. In 2 weeks, we saw a HUGE difference- baby is less fussy and has regular bowel movements.
The only problem that I have with this product is the price. I wish to continue buying it since it’s the only best product for my baby, but would love if there are more offers/ coupons for it.

This was recommended by my pediatrician. I was using pro-sensitive and had some issues with reflux so our pediatrician said to use this but instantly my son did not like the taste so we did one scoop of the old powder and one scoop of the new one. By the second day he was so gassy and colicky. I have never heard my son cry the way he did after using this. I did not work for us and taste and smells horrible.

My baby is fifty days old. She had severe colic pain and lactose intolerance.
After 24 hours of using this product, colic pains and lactose intolerance were greatly reduced. It is now 48 hours and the colic pains and lactose intolerance have disappeared completely. Congratulations and thank you to everyone and Abbott who created this product.

I had to start my daughter on the Alimentum formula for her dairy and/or soy protein allergy at 6 weeks. We started with the powder formula, which helped her be less fussy but she still had tons of gas. After using this for a few weeks, we decided to try giving her the ready feed, which helped a lot with the gas and even more with the constant spitting up. Well we ran out of the ready feed but still had a new can of the powder, so we gave her some of that; that was two days ago. The last two days have been horrible; now that she’s on the powder formula again, she’s so fussy, spitting up large quantities again, and so gassy that she won’t sleep! Now we have to use the ready feed formula, which is way more expensive ($10 a day!!!!), and of course there is no coupons for this. I signed up for the rewards program to start getting coupons but have never received anything! And that was over a month ago. Needless to say, I am not impressed!

This formula has been a game changer for my son. We tried several other similac formula but this is the only one he can tolerate. He use to scream 24/7 in pain and was so gasy. But I wish I would have known there is a difference between the rtf and powder. Not only in taste but ingredients as well. We started with the rtf because that’s all I could find in the store. Now that I have several cans of powder he won’t drink it. It smells awful and he instantly spits it out.

Since starting this formula I have a happy baby with minimal tummy issues!

This formula took almost one month before I saw a difference. My daughter has both a milk protein allergy as well as a corn allergy. My milk dried up when she was 3 months old, and I had to put her on formula. She was so sick it took us 2 ER visits, and switching to a new pediatrician before we were told about this formula. We are so thankful Similac came up with this formula! Our daughter would pass out from all the screaming and crying she did because of the pain. She also lost her voice, and was so horse sounding that we were afraid that she damaged her vocal cords. This formula was truly a blessing for our daughter!
Mel0310 –
We had failed multiple formulas before trying Alimentum RTF, instantly we saw a huge improvement with my son. He was finally happy again! The only downside with this formula is it is almost impossible to travel with. It has to stay cold once opened and only comes in 2oz or 32oz bottles. The 2oz are so expensive and only come 8 to a pack when my son drinks 7-8oz a feeding so we can’t afford to buy a ton just to take on normal outings. I really wish there was a 6 or 8 oz ready to feed option! That would make this formula 100x better!

This formula saved my daughter. It’s amazing. It may be expensive, but Mira sends coupons. It’s the step before amino formula.
Heidi83 –
My son had gas and cramps and cried so much that my heart was broken. We started with this milk the ready to drink and the change was impressive. But my son does not tolerate what is in powder he thought that it happened only to him but I see the comments and I identify myself

My twin boys did not react well to this formula, it made them really uncomfortable after they had a bottle. They would turn red in the face and get mucusy
Laynies Momma –
my little girl has been drinking this formula from the day she was born, she’ll be 9 months old tomorrow we have never had a problem with it whatsoever! she’s a very happy healthy little girl, i have recommended Alimentum to several momma’s who have been trying to find the best formula for their little one’s hoping that they too can get the awesome results out of it the same as i have for my daughter!
Mags90 –
As a first time mom I was devastated my child was sensitive to milk proteins, cutting dairy from my diet to continue nursing wasn’t easy. We have been supplementing with Similac since she was born and used the total comfort product but were told to switch to Nutramigen. Our baby didn’t seem to like that formula and were happy to try Similac’s Alimentum. We started with the ready made formula because we weren’t sure how it would affect her once we knew we had a good product we tried the powder form because it is more economical. unfortunately we began to have similar issues with our baby taking it as with Nutramigen. We immediately switched back to the ready made. We are happy we found Alimentum ready made but wish it was as economical as the powder. Either way thank you Similac for a great product.
Avababy –
We just switched my 2 month old to this from Enfamil gentlease. It has helped so very much! She is back to her happy, playful self again! Thankfully, I read the reviews before starting her on this, because she HATED the powder form. We switched her to premixed one, thanks to all the other reviews! I do wish that there were more coupons out, as she goes through a 32oz bottle a day!

My three week old has always been on similac since birth. We were fundings that she was super colicky and then learned she has a milk protein allergy. We were told to try the similac alimentum and it was a game changer for 4 days. We were all sleeping and happy again! However, after 4 days she was extremely gassy and her stomach was rock hard. She would scream for hours again until she passed gas and then would sleep a couple hours before repeating the cycle. We’re now using the RTF and she’s currently been asleep for 3+ hours between feedings! Hoping this remains the same for her! It’s awful the powder is so different from the ready to feed, and the price is crazy which is why it’s only 3 stars. Whatever my baby needs to feel good we’ll give her.

This formula changed our colicky 3 month old within 24 hours. It was truly a God send! I just wish it was more affordable as we are spending around $10 a day to feed our little guy.

Our grandson Cried after drinking the other brand of formula. Now that My daughter has our grandson on Similac he no longer cries in pain from the gas in his stomach .
EJ2020 –
Similac Alimentum honestly helps my son and I’m super thankful! Other formulas were backing him badly and making his poops different colors and this formula has done good for our son!
xomonica –
My baby is one month old when she started this formula. It woke great for him. Although he doesn’t like the power form, the read-to-feed (I guess) tastes better! (:

I have identical twin boys who have struggled with their formula since birth. My boys were born six weeks early and they have had colic since we came home from the NICU. After 6 failed formula attempts we started Alimentum RTF, and my babies are finally satisfied. They are sleeping, crying less and having normal bowel movements. I know it’s expensive but to have my boys happy it’s worth it all! I’d recommend any mama who is lost in the formula struggle to at least try this product, I’m so thankful to have happy babies who are getting the nutrition they need and I’m staring to get the sleep I need! Thank you!

I bought this formula about a month and a half ago. We had tried pro advanced and it caused my son to be constipated. Then we tried total comfort which made my son so gassy! Finally we got this product and it was prefect for him. No more horrible gas or constipation. It is pricey but you can’t put a price on your child comfort . I really recommend parents to keep trying different formulas until your child is comfortable! This one is great because it eliminates allergy worries!

It’s crazy the difference that the ready to feed versus the powder formula does. Our daughter was out on the alimentum by her pediatrician and we were given bottles of ready to feed and instantly she was 100 times better, she wasn’t constipated, she stopped throwing up but our doctor wouldn’t write a prescription for our wic office for ready to feed only the powder formula. So we tried the powder formula for a few days and back again to the constipation and spitting up. So now unfortunately we have to pay out of pocket for a bottle of ready to feed a day (by the way it’s over $300 a month) but it’s what we have to do to have successful feedings and a healthy happy baby. I wish they would make like gallon sized ready to feeds so it would last a bit longer and may be a bit more economical.

My daughter was put on formula as a supplement due to her breastfeeding jaundice. We have tried so mNy different kinds and she struggles with them all. We finally tried the Alimentum and the first bottle she drank with no grunting and had the best feeding experience ever. It is worth the extra money to have her happy with a feeding.
RMac –
After trying several formulas to help with fussiness and major constipation my Pediatrician recommended Alimentum. Within 24 I noticed a dramatic difference in the baby. Yes it stinks, but definitely not a reason to complain, and give a bad review. Too many positives to focus on one negative.
Liz2020 –
The ready to feed is great. I Absolutely LOVE that the Alimentum comes in 2oz bottles.. The one thing I would request is that they make options for 4oz, 6oz, or even 8oz single use bottles.. My daughter tried the powder would literally turn her nose up to it, it made her constipated, it smelled AWFUL! So we switched back to ready to feed after only 2- 4oz bottles..
I ABSOLUTELY recommend this product if your infant is sensitive to any milk proteins..
Thanks to Similac for always having Great products and Mira for having them in stock, I’ve been a customer since 2010!..

I love this formula. It has helped my baby tremendously!
We started with Similac Sensitive when he was 1 week old. We noticed our son always grunting and fussy. At his 2 week checkup, we brought this up to his doctor and she switched him to Similac Total Comfort. Slowly he starting crying more and more to the point where he wouldn’t sleep anymore. He would spit up while burping him and after every feeding. It was a nightmare for my husband and I since we are first time parents and didn’t know what was going on with our baby. His poops were dark green, slimey and smelled sooo bad. He would cry when he needed to poop. His farts were very, very stinky. We knew this was bothering him because he was always grunting and crying. We took him to his doctors again at 5 weeks. She switched him to Similac Alimentum. Omg this was the best thing ever. Our baby sleeps well now! He doesn’t spit up. He doesn’t cry (unless he’s hungry or sleepy). He’s always happy. He doesn’t spit up anymore and his poops and farts are normal. He doesn’t cry while pooping. My baby doesn’t grunt anymore either. It’s been a complete 180 for us.
The formula has changed my baby sooo much. The smell is horrible, but he has no issues drinking it. So it’s 100% worth it!

We have tried so many formulas for my twin 4 month old grandsons and they have finally been comfortable and smiling with the Similac Alimentum RTF. The results have been great. However, we have trouble finding it in the stores/pharmacies. Would love to get some for them through you guys if possible and if cheaper. Thank you.

This formula was a life saver when my baby was first born she cried nonstop didn’t sleep we switched her from gentlease to Similac and it stopped however now that she’s 8 Mos old I want to switch her formula due to the horrible smell of the formula n her smells her breath poop n urine smell terrible due to this formula her stools are watery n she seems uncomfortable when she is pooping due to the amount n how loose it is hopefully the Dr will OK this change so I’d recommend it early for colic but once ur baby is older n handling foods n gas better I’d switch unless u want a smelly kid that fears pooping.

Due to me having some bad health issues I can’t ebf with this baby, and am having to use formula this time around. My LO could not tolerate any of the other types, so we tried Alimentum and it is a game changer!! Only down fall is it is extremely expensive. I wish they sold it in bulk, or had some discounts on it. At the end of the day baby gets what he needs, just wish it didn’t break the bank! All in all if your baby is having issues with other formula, try this one!! It works great
Pasky21 –
Alimentum is the only formula that my infant can tolerate due to both a milk protein allergy and a corn allergy. I would have given this formula 5 stars however, its very difficult to travel with. My infant drink 5oz a feeding so if I buy the 2oz bottles I need to use 3 of them and that could get costly, and the 32oz bottle is just not ideal for traveling. Please make a 6 or 8oz bottle. Or it would even be helpful if you provided tips on how to store the formula in different bottles to help with traveling. Other than that I love this formula and love how it has made a Hugh difference in my babies attitude.

With my son he was considered failure to thrive and had extreme GERD we went through so many different formulas until we tried this one. Any formula we tried he would puke it all up until my sister demanded i try alimentum and she was right. He finally started gaining weight and became just the happiest boy. I recommend this formula to anyone that is considering formula feeding

My three week old was on similac pro advance since birth with a few breastmilk bottles a day. We notice she was extremely fussy and could not pass gas nor poop. Then once I completely stop breastfeeding and fully on formula we noticed a rash starting to appear. After a week on full formula (similac pro advance) we took her to the doctor and we were told she has a cows milk allergy. We have then switched to similac alimentum and the rash is completely gone and fussiness is minimal, but not she is spitting up after drinking her bottle and being burped multiple times.

After trying many different remedies for colic or purple crying we finally went down the formula rabbit hole. Searching and reading throughout the internet we landed on Similac Alimentum as an alternative. I purchased some of the Ready To Feed 32oz bottles and we gave it to our twins immediately. It’s now 7:50p which has been up to this point the middle of their episodes and not a peep!. They have been peacefully sleeping now for a continuous hour! Me and Mom actually got to shower and take some time for us. I’ll admit this product has not been used long but with the peace it’s afforded us has been priceless.

This formula has been working wonders for my son with a milk protein allergy. It is however extremely expensive to afford. I wish similac would offer coupons for this specific item so that we could afford to keep our son as healthy as possible.
