We have two boxers, and they both have had ZERO problems with the royal canin boxer breed food. In fact, the adult size kibble is large enough that it prevents our dogs from “inhaling” their food… something we’ve had big problems with other brands. No need for a slow feeder! It keeps their coats looking shiny, and they are two of the healthiest looking boxers you could ask for. We tried other high-end brands like Blue Buffalo, but had a lot of problems with runny stool that just wouldn’t go away. Royal Canin has won my business.

My dog loves the food, however, its so expensive! I never can find any sales or coupons for royal canine. I wish they would offer savings to valued customers.
Team Mom –
This food was on a list of low-sodium, high quality canine foods from our cardiac vet. It’s the only one my dog (a Boxer but this is good for any large breed who needs low-sodium and high taurine) enjoys plain. The kibble are large and a funky shape that makes them easy to pick up from the bowl. Watch the recommendation for serving size- my dog gained weight quickly on the recommended serving- my 75lb Boxer gets just a little more than 2 cups total per day. Second dog eats a grain free diet but much prefers this food too.

The price is very comparable to prices in stores.

Dog was already eating this brand when we got him and we have continued it. We tried different brand due to cost of this, but could tell he did not like it as much and coat lost some of shine. Now we mix little of off brands with this to make it stretxh farther. Price is slightly better here than at other retailers.

I have a 3 y/o male boxer and was having difficult with him passing really bad gas and having other intestinal issues but this food took care of that almost immediately.
Most importantly, he Loves the taste and will eat it like it’s steak!
Also, I was having problems with him making a mess with his previous food, this are bigger pieces and easier for him to pick up so no more mess on my floor… Win and Win!
Highly recommend!

Our 12 year old boxer had the worst gas and horrible bad breath. It got so bad, we had a hard time even being in the same room. I went online to find another food as it was the only thing we could change that might make some difference. After reading some review’s on Royal Canin for boxers I dexided to take a chance. It certainly couldn’t make anything worse. I was skeptical but a few days into the food change we noticed a difference. A week later…WOW. Bad breath gone!
Toxic gas gone! I have my dog back that I can cuddle on. I’m so glad I took a chance on this food. I highly recommend it!

We got our boxer as a rescue, around 10 months old. He’s on the small side, but was super thin when we first got him. He was under 50 lbs, and was so thin you could see easily feel his pelvic bones and see his ribs. We tried 7-10 the highly recommended foods out there. All the foods we tried for him were high protein, high quality, low cheap fillers. The effect was that our dog had a lot of runny stool and didn’t gain any weight. He stayed very thin for 3 months, despite eating healthy portions of food.
After 3 months of trial and error, our dog finally showed some progress when I tried Royal Canin Boxer food. His stomach was more settled and he gained weight!
Well, fast forward 3 years, and our boy is now full-grown, almost 4 years old. He’s gained size and muscle, and is now a healthy 63 lbs. So far, so good–we’ll keep feeding him this stuff.

I’ve fed my boxer nothing but Royal Canin and the 1st thing everyone notices about my dog is his beautiful coat. He’s never had any skin alignments or allergies. Both of which usually based on diet. A little on the pricey side for dog food, but a happy, healthy dog is worth every penny.

Our dog seems to like the flavor of Royal Canin dog food. She has been very picky in the past

Royal Canin Boxer Blend is the only food my boys ever ate. Mugsy will not eat anything else. Unfortunately lately it’s hard to find. So I am grateful for the bag I received.

I have been feeding this product to my boxer since 8weeks he is now 6 years old and healthy in great condition. Great food which comes in puppy and adult which my dog transition with no issues. The price is a little steep but the way the food impact your dog health is worth. My boxer have a very shiny coat. I know he loves the food tried to switch him to blue mountain which is cheaper and he wouldn’t touch it.

Our boxer has tried a few other foods but this is the only one she will eat. They specifically shaped this food and it’s perfect.

This food changed my dog’s life, for the better in almost all regards. For at years he could not keep weight on and got many askance looks for his incredibly skinny appearance despite many efforts to get him to gain weight (not even full fat greek yogurt could do the trick, nothing worked). He had lots of anxiety issues as well as issues having accidents almost daily at home. He also had an OBSESSION with drinking water, licking puddles, drinking water bowls until he got sick, licking the shower clean after one of us would use the shower. I hypothesize this was a kind of acid reflux problem… Perhaps his throat hurt and the water felt soothing. He was cared and loved for but still struggled with these issues.
I saw this food at petsmart and saw immediate results. He started to visibly gain weight within the first bag of food. The shape does make it so that he has to eat it slower, but I think there’s got to be something special in the formula. Not only does he look much healthier (he has cute little love handles now!) but his whole demeanor has changed. He is much calmer, he isn’t obsessed with water and drinks normal/appropriate amounts, and he stopped having accidents entirely. I never thought food could control so much of a dog’s behavior but my experience with the Royal Canin food changed my mind. He also loves the soft food version and I give that to him occasionally as a treat.
If you’re hesitant because of the cost, don’t be. It’s much cheaper here than in retail stores and lasts around a month or more. This has been such a significant change and I am overjoyed that this food has done what it has for my sweet boy’s quality of life!

My boxer Thor is 17 months old and just switched from puppy food to adult. Thor is 89 lbs, and usually eats 5 to 6 cups of food a day. Usually he eats when he wants, and we usually only put 3 cups in the bowl until its gone and add the additional three by the end of the day. He also gets two eggs and apple treats during the day. I did a lot of research to ensure we had the best quality food for Thor. My research led me to Royal Canin every time. One thing Thor did when he ate is spill the food all over the place due to the food size. We got our first bag last night and was a little concern with the nugget size. I looked and smell the food and it was a lot different. The food was dry but you could tell it was very rich in nutrients that the other food didn’t seem to have. We put three cups in Thor’s bowl and he loved it. Never seen him eat like that with no spillage. We gave him another three cups with the same result. Never seen him lick his bowl clean. He was actually begging us for more, but based on food recommendation he can only have six cups a day. Like I said was skeptical, but was a good decision. I’ll update again after a few weeks.

I just want to point out that dogs evolved from wolves literally by eating human garbage, so $100 per bag of dog food is ridiculous. That being said, my pooch is mildly allergic to basically everything, which means most foods give him colitis. Did allergy testing and this is the one non-prescription food they said might work. Frankly, it still gives my dog the runs, but no blood so sign me up. Because at the end of the day, he’s a good boy.
