Royal Canin Size Health Nutrition X-Small Adult Dry Dog Food (formerly Mini Adult) is precise nutrition specifically made for small dogs 10 months to 8 years old weighing 9–22 lbs. Your small dog has some big nutritional needs. That’s because small breed dogs actually have higher energy requirements than big dogs. Not only that, these mini pooches have unique traits—and are pretty picky when it comes to what’s put in their bowl.
Royal Canin Small Adult dry dog food is formulated to meet the unique nutritional needs of small breed adult dogs, as they actually require higher levels of calories per pound of body weight than large dogs. L-carnitine helps metabolize fat to help your dog maintain a healthy weight. Ideal levels of EPA and DHA support healthy skin and a beautiful, shiny coat. Plus, enhanced palatability helps satisfy even the pickiest eaters. Add a variety in texture with Royal Canin Adult Beauty wet dog food. And when your dog reaches their later years, there’s Royal Canin Small Adult 8+ and Small Aging 12+ to help keep them happy and healthy as they age.

I don’t even know how many bags of dog food I’ve thrown away. My dog, Squash, is one of the pickiest & spoiled dogs ever. She only wants to eat our other dogs food sindr she doesn’t like hers, but she’ll only pick out certain pieces. I’ve mixed some of his food in hers, and mixed some moisty meaty in there too and she would only
pick out what she wanted and spit her food on the ground. It was so frustrating sometimes.
But this food???? I’m in shock. I put it in her bowl and she ate it right away. Without anything mixed in it 😨 She loves it and I get so excited to watch her eat now 😂

This is for my two yorkies. Kibble is perfect size for them. I like the fact of this dog food being healthier for them than other brands. And best part is they eat it !

My Chihuahuas have loved these for years. Unfortunately they’re out of stock everywhere these days.
Trying to find another go to snack blows.

My dog has been on Royal Canin since whelping and Seems to find it palatable. First with their Puppy chow and now with the extra-small bites available. He’s fed this exclusively (no people food) and has free choice he is a snacker and never overeats. This dry food has given a very satisfactory diet. No bowel or digestive problems. Good coat , plenty of energy. Having lost last Poodle because of dietary complications, I’m very much aware of how easy it is to spoil a dog food wise. THIS ROYAL CANIN extra-small chow really does work for small dogs,

Julie, the Papillon who refuses to eat anything but human food, loves this. I’m in a state of pure shock to see her suck this up like a vacuum cleaner and swallow without bothering the chew. You can take a look at my buying history and see how many brands I’ve tried, just from Amazon. She will eat for a bit, maybe, then decide a few days later she doesn’t like it. Nothing has ever lasted. I finally resorted to making homemade food for her and she even does the same with that. I have been so frustrated with her because she has a sensitive stomach to boot, and it’s just been a big pain in the rear to deal with. One thing I do differently is not leave any food down for her anymore. And, I also put this food in a glass canister next to her other treats that are in glass canister so maybe she thinks it is a treat —although she often turns her nose up at those too. I also only give her a little bit at a time, like a treat. She will even play with her treat ball with this in it and she’s had the ball 4 years with no interest. My mom has a chi chi is who also picky as all get out and eats homemade food and she inhales this too. I’m just holding my breath for the day she doesn’t eat it, but it has taken real pressure off me. Heck, says you, just let her starve–she’ll eat when she gets hungry. Um, no she won’t and then she gets gastritis and I have a $300 vet bill. Will post an update, but so far so good and i’m thrilled. It just makes life so much easier.

Perfect size for my teacup chihuahua! He eats it right up and Carrie’s his plate to me for more. Very easy transition from other food. Reviews I read are true to form. I’m excited for the nutritional value, Well worth the price to know my baby is getting the nutrition he needs to be sure he is healthy.

Ruby the chihuahua is now over 10 months old, and weighs 6.02 lbs. She had been on the Royal Canin x-petite puppy food for the past several months. She loved the food, ate it well and thrived on it. I tried transitioning her to a small breed adult dry food not a Royal Canin product, but she barely ate it (bad decision on my part). So, I realized I needed to put her back on the Royal Canin, but the adult dry food, x-small. She does have a small, petite jaw without much chewing power. She loves the taste of the Royal Canin dry adult food and can eat the kibbles very well. Because she is clearly eating this food better, I anticipate her coat and health will improve.
